Jokowi believes that the existence of Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel will make an important contribution to the growth of IKN and the surrounding area. He said that the construction of Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel will increase the number of hotels that will operate in the archipelago.

So guests who visit IKN will not have difficulty finding accommodation. To date, there are already six hotels that are still under construction in IKN, both 4-star and 5-star hotels.

Jokowi also mentioned the celebration of RI's anniversary at IKN on August 17, 2024. He hopes that guests who attend the RI anniversary will be able to stay in hotels in IKN or other cities nearby.

“In the coming August we will perform the 17th ceremony in the capital of the archipelago. The question is, where are the guests staying? It could be in Balikpapan because the 47-kilometer highway is also completed, God willing in July,” Jokowi said.

He is also sure that there will be several hotels that have finished their construction during the celebration of the RI Anniversary at IKN later. “But it would be more true if in the capital of the archipelago there are already hotels that have been built. I am sure 1-2 hotels will definitely be completed in the capital of the archipelago,” he said.

Jokowi also hopes that the groundbreaking of various development projects carried out every month can further convince other investors to co-invest in IKN. He also encouraged that investors could take advantage of various incentives and ease of effort provided by the government.

“By chanting bismillahirrahmanirrahim at noon today the laying of the first stone of the groundbreaking Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel, I officially declare it started,” Jokowi said.
